Health Careers Futures

Health Careers Futures (HCF), a supporting organization of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, was founded in 2002 to support long-term local and regional economic development by aligning the region's supply of and demand for health workers. HCF fulfills this mission by improving attraction, recruitment and retention of skilled healthcare workers through a variety of innovative programs of its own, as well as in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative. In addition, HCF initiates research of relevant health workforce issues.

HCF provides clear and accurate information to students, job seekers, and educational and workforce development organizations about healthcare occupations and about pathways for entering and advancing in these careers.

HCF promotes programs that attract the right applicants and promotes work redesign to support patient and worker safety.
