Jewish Healthcare Foundation Hosts Lunch with Allegheny County House Delegation

The Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF) hosted a lunch with members of the Allegheny County House Delegation on April 5, providing an opportunity for many of the new members of the delegation to learn more about JHF, its mission, and its ongoing work across Pennsylvania.

Attendees included: Rep. Jessica Benham, Rep. Emily Kinkead, Rep. Matt Gergely, and Rep. Nick Pisciottano, Chair of the Allegheny County House Delegation, Rep. Abigail Salisbury, Catherine Weis, representing Rep. Arvind Venkat, and Ricardo Worthey, representing Rep. La'Tasha Mayes' office.

During the session, Karen Wolk Feinstein, PhD presented JHF's policy priorities for consideration for the 2024-25 budget year, including: Investing in Pennsylvania's innovation economy to establish Pittsburgh as a patient safety research and development hub and establishing an Office of Healthcare Workforce Reform. The presentation was followed by a discussion and question and answer session.
