The Jewish Healthcare Foundation hosted a two-day self-defense seminar April 14 and April 21. Provided by master instructors from the Isshinryu Karate Academy, the course provided staff with self-defense techniques and scenarios, taught by Renshi Leon (Len) Cherney and Sensei Chocku Radhakrishnan. Of the training, Dr. Karen Wolk Feinstein, president and CEO of JHF, said "I feel so much better prepared if something awful happens. At least I know the basics of what to do and what not to do."
