Nancy Zionts Facilitates the Discussion at Theresa Brown’s Book Release

Pittsburgh native, best-selling author, and former Jewish Healthcare Foundation Board member Theresa Brown, RN celebrated the release of her book Healing, on April 11 at Penguin Bookshop in Sewickley.

Nancy Zionts, COO and chief program officer at JHF, led a conversation with Brown, who discussed her experiences and process in writing the memoir about her own poignant, powerful personal story about her breast cancer diagnosis. The event also included a question-and-answer session with the audience.

Brown is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Shift, has been a contributor to the New York Times. Her writing appears on CNN.com and in the American Journal of Nursing, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She has been a guest on MSNBC Live and NPR's Fresh Air.
