Former Salk, Patient Safety fellow joins JHF staff

Steven Guo joined the Jewish Healthcare Foundation on September 23 as a program associate supporting the foundation's fellowship programs, the Pennsylvania Perinatal Quality Collaborative (PA PQC), and the Reinvesting in Health Initiative. A former JHF Salk Health Activist and Patient Safety fellow himself, Guo will assist in developing the fellowship experience and recruiting strategies for new fellows. With the PQC and the Reinvesting in Health Initiative, he will help the team with executing its agendas and communicating results to the broader network. He comes to JHF after a year as a strategy consultant at Gateway Health Plan supporting an innovative multi-sector initiative to address the social determinants of health in the North Side. He earned a bachelor's degree in Decision Science with a minor in Healthcare Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. A New York City native, he now makes his home in in north Oakland.
